How to determine the thickness of veneer when rotary cutting machine?

Rotary cutting machine is used to make plywood materials when rotary cutting, so manufacturers want to have a fixed thickness to do their own products, then how to determine the thickness of the rotary cutter in use?

The plywood that we usually see, such as plywood and plywood, are made by splicing and gluing single-layer thin plates. These layers of thin plates are also called veneers, which are usually processed by a rotary cutter. When producing veneers, the thickness of veneers should be determined according to the thickness of plywood. The thickness of veneer should be measured at the same point after rotary cutting, before and after drying and after gluing, so that some small changes can be accurately measured. Generally, the value before drying is slightly larger than that after rotary cutting, because the veneer rebounds and is compressed during rotary cutting, while it becomes smaller after drying. After gluing, veneer will expand, so the thickness will increase, while hot pressing will reduce the thickness, which is the thickness change of veneer in the whole plywood process.

As long as the change of veneer in each process is mastered, the processing allowance, compression amount during hot pressing, dry shrinkage during drying and the change during gluing should be taken into account during rotary cutting. And sometimes because the drying process is not the same, the drying shrinkage is not the same, so it is necessary to accurately measure, in order to master the accurate value.

Therefore, the processing allowance, compression, dry shrinkage, rebound and expansion of veneer thickness should be considered, otherwise the plywood produced may be larger than the required thickness.
